Any Vegan "mentors" in the community?

Hello. About 5 months ago I became Vegan. It was easy. Simple. But now I'd like to meet others and learn more about the change in diet and lifestyle - yes, it has affected my lifestyle (where I go, what do, how I view things, etc).
Does anyone have suggestions to meet others, locally? Or, get a "mentor" to provide some pointers?
On the meeting others, I would look at meetup.com. I don't know about your area, but mine has 3 or 4 vegan/ vegetarian meetup groups. Its a great way to connect with locals with similar interests.
As for the montorship thing, I am also a newbie, but best of luck!
