You are here

You know what really grinds my gears.......

Ok so maybe I'm just a weirdo, but there's silly little things that really bug me for no apparent reason - what about the rest of you?  Is there any little thing that really annoys you, but probably shouldn't that much?

Ok I'll start:

I hate it when peolpe jiggle their legs up and down when they're sitting down.  Some people will do this continually and I HATE IT.  There's no logic to my annoyance but it really bugs me.

It also bugs me when women put their make up on on public transport - just wake up earlier if you want to wear it - and don't give people dirty looks when they stare at you.

when my coach acts like the biggest piece of shit to me and punishes me for things other people wrote on my facebook. seriously? thats dumb. i can't control what other grown people write on facebook

They give out the coupons for the stuff they can't normally sell. They've got all those (probably lame) toys stuck in that one aisle and they haven't moved for months. I suppose they hope someone is going to take them for Toys for Tots or something.

Possibly. I'm going to write a letter to voice my concern.

That's a good idea, Josh.

I'm sorry things are so frustrating, llg.  Is part of it your work schedule?

I've been in similar classes (mind, not topic).  I hope it ends soon.

When people drive in the rain or in low light without their headlights on.

What is even more frustrating is that I was getting it yesterday and my group today starting doing things ass backwards so now I'm all messed up.

LLG: I just now logged-on for the day and saw your comments. I certainly do hope things clear up for you. Being so frustrated you want to cry? That's never a great place to be but I know you won't stay there. You're going to find clarity of mind and the inner strength to get through. I know this much about you.

People who say things can't change for the better because they claim to be a 'realist'.

Note to those people: You're not a realist. You're a pessimist. And I don't have the patience for you.

Oh goodness, THIS. For people who claim to be realists, I have a response: Reality is a concept. Everybody's reality is different to everyone else's. And what one person sees as "reality" is simply the circle of their experience, education, and personal ideas. It is not and can never be Reality.

Reality is a concept. "Normal" doubly so.

Oh hell yes! I must commit this to memory.

And I wish to share a quote from Douglas Adams: "Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so."

You both are right on the money!! It's all about perception. And I perceive that lots of greatness can and will be accomplished.

I'll tell you what grinds my gears: Wealthy people who dally around for about 2 mos about whether or not they want a class, and then suddenly call at 9 PM on a Sunday night and want to pressure me into giving them all kinds of hours effective immediately--whether I want to or not.
And this woman is calling for her 26 yr old daughter, who has a responsible job, and yet can't set up her own class?
And I should call the daughter justrightNOW and set it allll up. No matter whether I was doing something when she called, or have plans for tomorrow, or what.
I should be sooo grateful they finally have time for me, that I should just get right on that stick!!

And the mother is one of those pushy women who talk a mile a minute to try to pressure you more. After taking her sweet time to get back to me after the other 2 calls when she dangled what she fondly imagined to be a carrot in front of my plebeian little nose.

I think I'm gonna "lose" that number.

Bitchez.

My daughter's boyfriend just broke up with her because of her support of equality/gay marriage! Really??? Can you think of a dumber reason? Because she cares about people and believes in equal rights for all??? Oh, and he knew her beliefs all along too! I am soooooooo angry and this is the second time he's stomped all over her heart. She is heartbroken! :(
