*GENERAL EXCHANGE GUIDELINES*
1.  You must have been active on the forums for at least 6 months OR have 1,000 posts.  If you've been here a while you're more likely to send out your package.

2.  Don't flake on your partner, just like you wouldn't want your partner to flake on you.  If you're unsure whether you'll have time/money to get a package together, don't sign up.

3.  Bring it!  Don't send out something crappy!

4.  Homemade and/or store bought goodies are welcome.

5. This is an ALL VEGAN exchange.

The exchange looks like it's shaping-up nicely, folks. :)

Storm -

If you want to receive a gift in return by participating in the real gift exchange, go right ahead. I'll send you something ASAP but I'm jobless right now and I don't want you to be without gifts.

-Josh

My gift is getting to send awesome gifts to an awesome person and that would be you!  I don't require anything else!  Also, I promise to get a new box this time (instead of using one from my garage that could potentially have lizard turds in it).
:D

i have a few questions:

what is your favorite cuisine to eat?  Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Russian

what about to cook?  Mexican, Russian

what kitchen gadgets would you like?  I don't really need any.

Oh...and I like jerky, the spicy kind.  The Stonewall kind more than the slimy stuff.

Eat : I pretty much like all kinds of foods, I like trying new things (even though i have used my daughter to taste test things before i take a bite quite often... don't judge, that is why i had her).

Cook: I am not much of a baker, mainly b/c i refuse to measure things, but i have been trying more and more with success. I pretty much cook every meal at home, so i have a range of styles that i cook in. odd ingredients really intrigue me.

Kitchen Gadgets: I have a ton of random ones that i have picked up here and there, so i am mainly on the vintage/cool apron kick, and i like the mini cutter idea or cookie cutters in general (i only have one heart shaped one). maybe a set of measuring spoons, since i have none.

ALSO: I feel it important to add, that i am going to be on the East Coast Nov 2nd - the 15th, I am going to mail mine some time before then, but to my lovely gifter, if you want to wait until closer til i get back to send (specially if there are perishables involved) go right ahead.

Ok, that's way weirder than AC not having a rice cooker. :o

Eat: I love eating.  My favorites are spicy cuisines, like Mexican, Indian, Thai, Cajun, etc.  I also really love Mediterranean/middle eastern food.  And I love desserts.  And snacks.

Cook: Anything.  I love baking too.  The only thing is, due to having a small child, I don't often cook things that are really fiddly and/or time consuming anymore.

Kitchen Gadgets: Hmm...I know there were a few things that I wanted, but now I can't remember.  I could use another silicone baking mat, and cake decorating stuff or cookie cutters would be fun (I have circles, hearts, and stars).  And a skinny spatula.

I don't have a rice cooker either.  Is that a vegan requirement that I don't know about?  ???   :)

I do not own a rice cooker either.....not really sure on the need TBH.  You, fb, are the weird one for thinking everyone should have a rice cooker.  Weirdo.

what is your favorite cuisine to eat?  Indian, Mexican, Chinese, anything vegan

what about to cook?  Indian, Mexican, lots of things I make up as I go along.

what kitchen gadgets would you like? hmmm, don't really need anymore kitchen gadgets.  I already own cookie cutters, big (thanks Mirrya!) and small (thanks Algae!), I have silicon muffin cases (thanks PG!), I have a garlic twist, measuring spoons/cups...not really sure what else there is.....but if there is more I WANT THEM!!!

I'm excited to really get things going.  I have someone I've never really talked to before so this is a great opportunity to make a fantastic new vegweb friend!!  Yay!

I used to have one of those.  My mom gave it to me and after a year of never having used it I donated it (I think).  I haven't seen it in a while.  Dang.

My daughter has a garlic twist and she loves it, but with my arthritis, I prefer the press.  I can't get the twist moving when my hands hurt.  The press I can leverage on the cutting board if I can't apply enough pressure with my hands.....it sucks getting old.

Hmm, I never thought of that.  I hope I never get arthritis.  Maybe I shouldn't have given my garlic press away.... ::)
