what's your vice?

I'd imagine most of us are fairly healthy people when it comes to diet and lifestyle and usually searching for ways to be healthier....

That being said, what's your vice, food-related or not? What's the one thing you could quit eating/doing so much?

Mine's Tropical Source chocolate chips straight out of the bag. I just have to stop buying them because every time I do they never make it into a baked good, only into my mouth..

PORT

i seriously drink about two full bottles of port (or other late harvest / dessert wine) every week. i go wine tasting to specifically get more bottles of sweet, delicious, sexy port.  :D

ooooooooo secondbase, i like how you described port as sexy, turned me on a lil bit HA!!!!

my vice would be fries of any kind, baked, fried, ok i lie ANY potato, but fries being the best, just cuz i am a firm beliver in ketchup should SERIOUSLY be it's own food group, if nothing else upon dining out, if I cannot make a vegan choice i order fries, with ABSOLUTELY no seasoning cuz ew salt, I cannot stand salt beside ketchup has enough.

anyways that is my vice, if potatoes and the oil to fry them in ceased to exsist, i would surely die....

oh wait i forgot, is vodka a food? cuz no meal is complete without a vodka martini xxxxtra dirty with 3 olives and a smile :)

Red wine. I love port too. Oh, and supper dark chocolate. Mmmmmm....

Non food...tanning beds. I only go every couple of weeks in the winter but I feel a bit sinful everytime. It's just that here in chicagoland it's so cold and dark that I just need the intense light and heat every once in a while.

I wouldn't live without potatoes....and tea... Tea being my number 1 addiction. I drink around 10 cups per day....

potatoes! i had a baked one, SLATHERED in earth balance and OOZING veganrella and PILED with fried mushrooms and onions for lunch today. i love french fries (real ones with skins). I adore scalloped potatoes... mashed potatoes... hashed potatoes.... mmmm

i LOVED poutine (for you non-canadians) which is basically a giant pile of thick cut fries, piled with cheese curds and covered in gravy and sprinkled with salt, pepper and cider vinegar. obviously most places wouldn't even know what to do to make a vegan version, so i'll have to do it myself.

my boyfriend and i also have a serious chocolate addiction. we buy "green and black's organic" from whole foods and it's seriously good stuff. we bought 10 bars just last week and are already half way through ( and that's with a serious amount of restraint too).

Mine is also wine ... and beer ... and coffee. Not very healthy, but I love to try all kinds.

My other vice is eating too much and gaining weight .... yes this happens to vegans LOL. Note to self ... stay away from pasta ... too many carbs for someone that's not working or training at the moment (Oh how I love it, though) LOL.

Used to be potato chips but without even trying, I am not craving them very often anymore.  I used to think I craved them because I rarely add salt to anything and I figured my body wanted a salt fix.
I very rarely crave sweets but it is probably because I am sweet enough!  ;D
My downfall and I wish I could quit the habit is Diet Coke.  I want aspertame out of my life.
Maybe if I quit rum and vodka, I could get rid of the diet coke!  ::)

Oh, I can make a meal out of mashed potatoes.  Rarely eat fries but enjoy them when I have them until after.  As I don't eat fried foods very often, they play a number on my stomach.

I forgot to mention that. I was addicted to Lays and onion dip before going Vegan. The Lays is ok, but I had to lose the onion dip. They (the chips) didn't appeal to me after that, so it was the dip that I was addicted to. Now it's Tositos (sp?) and salsa!

I don't eat much fried foods either. I cut it out when I became veggie. I tried fries once after that and puked. To much grease (and I made them myself in veg oil ... weird).

I've never known anyone else like that! I was totally addicted to potato chips and onion dip before I became vegan... my ultimate comfort and pms food! i haven't quite given up though.. I discovered that tofutti sour cream and some vegan onion soup mix do the trick quite well... SHHHH

i guess chips in general are my vice.

My non-food vice is being seriously untidy and sedentary...translated from the vulgate that means lazy. Everything I like best to do can be done sitting down...or better yet, prone! (I tried knitting in the bathtub once but it doesn't work. The yarn gets wet).
Food, well that vice is just in terms of quantity. There is no way I can make enough fries for 2, I always make faaar too many and then...of course...we eat em! With that ketchup, for sure.  8)

I would have to say alcohol. In its many wonderful varieties! ;)

With me it's sweets all the way. And given the chance I'd eat whipped cream (and now Soyatoo) right from the can. :D

I have to agree with the 2 others above on the peanut butter thing...  by the spoonful...  And dark chocolate nearly every day...  coffee... ohhhh and popcorn, although healthy - I make it the old-fashioned way on the stove almost every night lately.  I am pretty sure that I am addicted...  :D
