What should I do for my two year?

November 17th will be my 2 year anniversary from cutting! It might not seem like such a big deal but it feels like a really big deal to me. As a matter of fact...I was so sure I was gonna cave through all of September and October that the only thing keeping me SI free was the thought that I wanted to make it to two years....soooo, what i kinda WANT to do is a make a chocolate cake, BUT Ive never made vegan cake...I can make vegan cookies, but a cake? seems daunting..PLUS, i am so hard on myself about eating sweets that having to buy ingredients to make it makes it worse...I don't know....I don't know how to commemorate this day, but i feel like I should do something. Ideas?

I would do something ritualistic and symbolic.  What about tying the handles of a pair of scissors together with some ribbon then burying them deep in the ground and plant a nice little tree to grow on top.  It would represent your ability to overcome your problems and allow yourself to grow.

I agree, its a nice idea, very creativea...I think I'm looking for something celebratory/rewardy...if that makes sense...but i will certainly keep this idea in mind...last year, for my one year I don't even think I noticed, but this past few months have been so so hard that I just kept holding on thinking "if i can only make it that far...." I was looking at two year chips/medallions...its really hard to find one that does not have the AA symbol of the triangle on it...BUT I think I found one and I think I will buy it for myself even though its a frivolous token...hummm...

wow, that IS a pretty big deal, Zealia! Congratulations!
overcoming a habit/addiction like that is no small feat...I'm so happy for You!

wow, I really like missmeow's suggestions...like if You still have any of Your old familiar, um, instruments (I know I do), You could put them all together in an easily biodegradable box, tied up with a ribbon symbolizing their being "bound" and unable to harm You. And I like the idea of burying it under a tree.....the tree would continue to grow and flourish and the cutting instruments would corrode and become part of the earth, symbolizing Your own personal growth and Your diminishing past. The tree would stand as a reminder of that past, but also as a reminder of Your own strength.

You could make a little celebratory event out of it, just for You...Bake Yourself some yummy vegan cupcakes or muffins or something like that (We can help You with a cake if You need!!), and when you're all done burying the stuff and cleaned up, You can sit under the tree and enjoy Your well-earned treat. then You could also show Your eating problems who's boss! Say, "take THAT, both of you!"

That's awesome Zelia!!!!!! I'm sooooo proud of you! Cutting is razy addictive and fighting the urge is a difficult one indeed--you are my HERO!!!! I love you beyond words--you have overcome so many HUGE obstacles!

Cake sounds like a great idea--you need to get one of those big "2" candles to plop right in the middles! I think you should also buy yourself something--like a ring, or bracelet--something you can look down at to remind you of how far you have come--tangible evidance of your success!!!!!!

I loooooooove you so much! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :)>>>

awww, thanks for the love guys! I made it!

Capture, that was a good idea. I forgot I actually have a charm bracelet...so I am getting a charm for it, actually two, but having them put on the same link. A number  2 and a recovery quote.  ^-^

I did like the idea about the tree but I'm not in a position to e able to buy or plant one right now, plus...the tree would probably die because its almost winter, not he best time of year for planting but i still really like the idea.

I didn't end up doing the cake. My eating disorder has been kicking my ass...boo.
