What would you suggest, a weighting system? Word ratings rather than post ratings? A rubric for post quality? Maybe you should talk to Y about that. ^-^
I have lots of in-depth posts and lots of silly posts, thank you very much. Sometimes tiny posts or single smilies can brighten people's days! Sheesh. You all are buzzkills.

Well, I am personally quite happy with the quality of my posts....but I see that others might think otherwise! I don't really think it matters, and I'm not trying to win a contest. I thought this thread was all in fun. I don't post and think, "YES! That's another number to add to my count!" I post when I feel that I would like to speak....or express myself...which sometimes = smiley. Like, :-\
I dunno, I mean..I'm not gonna stop posting or anything. I'm not out to "rack up posts," though. I'm sorry if anyone is unhappy with AC quality.

i do think people need to think about their posts, and perhaps it doesn't happen as much when posts are 'counted' because people want a higher count, but as long as they aren't completely ruining the boards with their posts or posting for no reason whatsoever it doesn't really matter. (post whoring?)
actually, i wish a lot of people posted more. like YOU, jkl, thought maybe you do and you just post in vegan food and cooking and such where i do not wander as often because it just makes me very hungry. i will go venture over there now since i am thinking about it!

Yes, don't hate! The boards would be oh-so-serious if they were all in-depth recipe talk, therapy sessions, advice columns, and descriptive essays.
Come on, the chit chat thread is one of the most successful threads here! Tens of thousands of views! I've become such better friends with all of you through silly little posts. For instance, PK and I have developed a fondness for chains of one-word responses to things. And AC and I bond over the use of the word KAC to indicate agreement. Jolly good fun.
