Reasons to whine

I feel like "reasons to frown" is for more serious business, and "grind your gears" is for genuine, deserved anger.

This is for whining, especially about petty things. Complaints, bitching and moaning welcome.

My reasons to whine:

I'm back in school starting today, and it's a sort of orientation week. As usual, it's pretty pointless. I could be sleeping!

My sheese has a spot of mold on it! I opened it a couple days ago, and it's best by date is Aug 5. >:( (I cut that part off, and am now enjoying some sheese)

Sometimes I feel like... Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, I'm going down the garden to eat worms vegetables nothing (since I hardly even have a garden, much less anything in it to eat).

Heli, this is what I call "feeling like a bastard at a family reunion." Like you could just drop off the edge of the planet and no one would even notice, much less care. Know it well.

Ugh. Yes. I hate this feeling. I sing the "nobody loves, me everybody hates, I'm gonna go eat worms..." song then too. Haha. Not having any friends in this country really stinks sometimes. Thank goodness for my man,my beloved books, and music!

OH YEAH LIKE WE WERE GONNA GO TO TN FOR SOME PIZZA. I CAN MAKE THAT SHIT AT HOME. WITH JARRED SAUCE, TOO.

Anyway.

J's car has had some trouble over the past month or so (just when I need to start driving it!), making some odd noises. He's heard it before, and that time before, his axle was broken. Yeah... Apparently the new one he got (a couple years ago) has like a forever warranty, so that's cool, but... a broken axle :'( or at least a bent one. He said it sounds worse today.
And, crappy icing on the crappy cake, I'm supposed to be driving it tomorrow as my turn in the carpool for my rotation. And as far as I know I still am. Not experienced in car matters, I'm thinking WHAT THE HELL THIS DOES NOT SOUND DRIVABLE, but he seems relatively casual about it, just saying not to accelerate too fast =/ He's going to take it to his dad's on Thurs to check it out and take things apart, but here's the crappy cherry on the crappy icing- we're supposed to bring the newly trapped kitties to the feral clinic on Thursday morning, and it's a bit of a ways away. He doesn't want to, since we haven't trapped the cats yet, and at least for my rotation tomorrow it's a bit too late to make a change.
But I want to be able to trap the ferals sooner. I know the longer we wait the more likely that they'll be having kittens towards the fall, which is not great (not just because of the extra kittens, but because that means the females can't be spayed for an additional 6 weeks after giving birth. IT'S ENDLESS). Tonight I see that there are two wee kittens out there (one looks like a sibling of Mochi and Momo... I thought there were only three in that litter, maybe not). I wish I could at least just trap them to get them off the streets before some asshole kid decides to mess with them again or before they eat craptons of paper like Mochi did.
There's a decent chance I can only trap them, since kittens are not as suspicious of walking into a metal cage, but if I trap an adult, I won't be able to do anything for another week (and feral cats will not eat/drink while caged/inside), and if I release them they'll probably never fall for the trap again. FINALLY there's this trick to the trap where you can prop open the door with a bottle, attach a string, and pull it out of the way when the targeted cat walks in, but none of these guys (not even the little kittens) will appear unless I'm not outside for at least a few minutes. And I'm not even feeding them outside my door; I'm feeding them all the way across the street, and they still wait for me to go away!
Sigh. I guess I'll see how terrible the car is tomorrow and make a judgment call based on that.

The anthologies I ordered for myself to study are a LOT more giant than I remember them being. At least three books of over 6000 pages each plus other smaller but not that much shorter books. I've got 13 weeks to read through them all and write notes that I can use to study by as well. That means at least 20 hours of studying a week. I might have to amp it up to more though. Just to make sure I get everything read.

I am both looking forward to it and dreading it.

I haven't mastered (nor can I begin to imagine) the technique of quoting one thread on another...but these are my RTS. Wrong thread, yeah I know that, go back and start at the beginnning of this paragraph.

My RTW is about 1 hr of sleep in the last 48. But hubby  is home, albeit on bedrest for at least a week. This does not a happy camper make. And he won't be told. Last night or sometime this morning I think he had kind of a reaction to the anaesthesia and he got it in his bonnet he was gonna get up and go to the bathroom all by himself!! When he had been TOLD to stay flat on his back until 8 AM. He was having more pain from his spine curvature than the eye, I have to say...but it took all I had and more to keep him in that bed. I finally went and told the nurses of him. They didn't threaten to restrain him. Boy howdy I would have!! I did say, "Now, you can lay in bed and get better or you can get up and maybe lose the sight in that eye. Your call."
But I have to admit that hospital's beds seem designed to make you hurt all over. I know, I slept in one for two nights that took forever, too, back in 2002.
He's home and discovering how nice it really is to sleep in your own bed (even if it's small for 2) and pee in  your own toilet.

I've been getting plenty of sleep, but I've been really tired lately, anyway.  I think eating would help keep me awake, but I had a "mini vegan turkey grinder" this morning and it made me so full I probably won't be able to eat for the rest of the day - and I was really looking forward to my salad.
