It's just that the "RT..." is getting old. I like the basic ones (RTS, RTLOL, RTF) but the others seem pointless. If you're posting anywhere on the forums you're building a "sense of community," so why do we have to do it by complaining about our lives and turning it into a hugfest?
I'm not attacking anyone who's created these threads, I just think they're redundant.
FB, I like the EG threads, because those who participate in them usually have entertaining commentary.

I think the elimination threads would be fine on the food forum.

I don't mind the RT threads! Don't cry fb, I don't hate the EG threads I just don't get involved so they don't interest me. It's cool they are popular, I just don't feel I have anything to say on them so I ignore them when they are up the top.
Make and respond to whatever threads you wish! Besides I'm never here so I don't get a say, really.

I view the RT threads as mostly aimless chit chat with a purpose of being funny, sad, etc etc.....

me too.
the 'kitchen sink' forum is ironically pretty organized, so a lot of posts tend to fit in those threads. if people wanted to, they could start their own threads for whatever it is rather than posting in those different categories, but instead people seem to post in RT threads. I guess it might feel narcissistic to make a separate topic of "look at these knee socks i got!" when you could put it elsewhere, but hey, that's an alternative to RT threads...

basically, a lot of the different threads could be viewed as redundant or pointless... but I still feel that all of them have the same right to exist on the boards. If I'm sick as shit of seeing EG or RT threads, I just don't bother to read or post in them.

I see the RT threads as sub-chapters of the Aimless thread. There are some RT threads that I don't read much, so I like that they're filtered out for me. If they were all in Aimless, I'd have to read all of the posts.
I like the EG games, but I'd like them more if my favorites stood a chance. fb should fix a game for me.

there are alot of threads I don't read, but I would never expect people to have the same opinion as me. Just don't open the thread and read it if you don't like it. END OF STORY
