I thought we could add a topic that says -- "Way to Go!" or "Congrats" to our fellow VegWebbers! Maybe we could also use this area to toot our own horns. Say stuff like -- "I just got an A+ in my class!" It's okay to pat yourself on your back sometimes.

After I blew my top at the meeting Sunday night (see the Reasons to Smile thread, I really should have posted it here I guess), I called one of the families to ask for an adress. They are the most conservative members, and I've always had a hard time liking the husband. But he had told his wife to tell me when I called, that I had said the right thing in the right way, and that someone had really needed to say it.
This is going to help our relationship in the world, I think. Coming from a man who doesn't take either foreigners or women seriously, it was high praise indeed.
