I thought a good topic would be to start a thread with cool veg*n quotes.
I know I've heard some great ones.... but I can't think of any right now... hence the need for this thread. :D

Thanks for sourcing this quote, eric. I used to have it in Spanish on a plaque and I thought it was just one of those proverb things, but it sounded too finished. Now I know.

It's not a veg*n quote or an inspirational quote, but is sort of relevant to the week.
At Last I can share my favourite Chekov quote! Realise that Chekov died in 1904; I'm not sure when Uncle Vanya was written, but C. was already aware of the influence of trees, and deforestation, on climate change. He was streets ahead of his time.
Doctor Astrov speaks:

Get the DVD of "Vanya on 42nd Street" if you can. You'll like it. It has a very young Julianne Moore in it. The first 10 min or so you may sit there and think "Whaaa??" but then you get into it. It's one of those films I don't know how many times I've seen/listened to. When I seriously can't sleep I put it on with my headphones and relax, listening to it. Lots of talk, not a lot of action (it's a film of the play), but a lovely film. The actors are stupendous.
I will start looking for it :) i need good dvds, as i finally got a dvd payer as of a week ago :D
