Hello~
For those of you that live in NC, please tell me about your state! :^
Does it snow? When does it snow? What are the good ski resort type places that rent cabins? Etc etc! There are 7 of us (me, DH, sister, brother-in-law, brother, sister-in-law & mom) that want to get together and have some fun for Christmas instead of buying more junk we all want to go somewhere!

I have been thinking of relocating to Asheville NC!
I would have to speculate it depends on the season via weather conditions.

It depends on where you are in NC of course, but it pretty much only snows in the Mountains of NC. And there it snows from around October to April, but not steadily. December is the main snow month and around December. From my experience anyway.
For good Ski resorts, I really only know the ones around where I lived. The best ones were Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain. I have no clue about cabin rentals. I know there are tons of rentals around Boone, and there are several ski resorts 30 min away, but the big ones I mentioned are about an hour to an hour and a half away. So I don´t really know anything to helpful about cabin rentals. But I am sure the two resorts have websites you could check out.
Definitely pick the mountain area (western) to visit. You will most likely not see snow. When it does snow, it melts pretty much the next day.
There are tons of great camping and skiing places...and cabins.
Do you plan to do some city visiting, or just outdoorsy stuffs?
