At last!!

Ladies, gentlemen, and anything else in between,
I have finally achieved a mixer! WITH a dough hook. For the princely sum of 20Euros, courtesy of our--well, favourite, if not strictly local--LIDL. I won't have a huge amount of occasion to use it, but since my dream of a country home where I could make my own jellies and jams and can my own homegrown produce is never going to materialise, it's worth it to have that spot of comfort deep down in my mind. At least I have a mixer.

The problem of course being that most mixer-made goodies are so not on a low fat, low sugar, low flour diet. But I have it, and it's there.

Any suggestions?
