Getting rid of odors

I found this link on MSN and wanted to share. Most of the tips are things I heard before, but the newspaper in the freezer and the oil on the lightbulbs were pretty neat and all natural!

Thanks for posting this... I think I'll try storing our cooler with a newspapper in it to keep it from getting that yucky cooler smell.
I just read the bit about scenting the whole house....it recommends putting vanilla extract on light bulbs, but not oils.
Depending on the wattage of your bulbs, you probably DON'T want to put any kind of oil on the bulb as it can heat up and make the glass explode. This was something we learned in theatre, that the bulbs (or "lamps", technically) should not be handled with bare hands as the oils from your hands on the glass will cause the result I just mentioned. Most household bulbs aren't nearly as high in wattage as theatre lamps, obviously, but I'd steer clear of putting oils on yer light bulbs...
thanks for this link, though...it's pretty sweet!

Thanks SO much for pointing that out. I didn't notice the difference in what I wrote. That could have been ugly! :o
