Hi everyone!  I cant believe I am finally posting.  I have been a member here for a few weeks now but have had to work up the courage to post.  You guys seem like such a lively bunch! I am generally a very quiet person with a touch of hypersensitivity and shyness but in my head I never shut up lol.  I am not new to veganism, it is the most natural thing in the world for me and I love it.  Giving up dairy, meat, and eggs was easy.  I find most meat repulsive and have not tolerated dairy well for years.  I am not big on soy or highly processed foods either.  And I am one who is simply fed up with the big food industry and the turn for the worse that industrial farming practices and treatment of our natural environment has taken.  My profile explains more about what veganism means to me.

I have visited here often for the huge variety of creative recipes offered and I love the sense of community.  To finally talk to others who get being vegan is a breath of fresh air.  Its almost like a bad word where I live although there are a few vegan friendly places and a great Whole Foods Coop. My boyfriend who I live with doesnt understand my diet at all but he tries to be supportive.  I have not been able to persuade him to give it a try but he's unknowingly had a few vegan meals here and there.  ;D
