Hi, I've just found this forum as I was browsing around and decided to join and hopefully get some tips from all of you ;)b.
I've recently changed from omnivore to vegan, and learning as I'm going along. Did a bit of research on the way animals are treated so that they can supply people with food, clothing and other products, and to be honest it knocked me sick. :(
Anyhows, I'm looking forward to chatting to you all and trying some of the recipes I've already spied on here. :)

Welcome :) There are tons of great recipes on this site and everyone is really friendly. Best of luck and congrats on making a life-changing decision.
Way to go!!!! I got excited when I saw your name as there is a Mount Begbie near my home in Canada and I thought maybe you were from around here, but alas it is not to be. I guess someone here just stole that name from you English folks.I have been vegan for 30 years so you have a little catching up to do.

Congrats! I went straight from omni to vegan as well and have been vegan for almost 2 years now. It gets easier--promise! Plus, you get to be a pretty darn good cook because you have to make so many things from scratch (the people I work with were shocked that I didn't make pancakes from a mix...they didn't think you could make them from scratch ??? ).
Hope you find lots of yummy recipes and helpful advice here!

Not sure where the name Begbie came from, its my staffys name, lol, and he was named after a character in the film 'Trainspotting', so maybe we pinched the name from Canada.

tch tch tch...No recipes for Dishes (western). Only Indian dishes and Pickles. I live on pickles and hot peppers only. :)>>>
