The Unfinished Project Project: In Which We Finish Our Projects.

I wanted to create a thread to help us finish the projects that we start and forget about.

Each week, I'm going to pick an unfinished project to work on.  It can be something in-progress or something I have wanted to start.  I'm going to work on it a little bit each day and then post about it with pics.

What do you all think?  I hope you'll play too!  Projects can be household projects, art projects, craft projects, etc.

Tomorrow I will post about my first project.  I'm still deciding what it will be.

I think tgis is a GREAT idea!!! hmmmm.....think mine will be to finish/repair that purse I never bothered to update/post pics of

Well, pick one and DO IT!

Sarah, my project is the turquoise hat that I started knitting for you in, oh, February?  But I forgot about it.  I can finish it this week for sure.

Hah! I can get the hat for when it gets cold then! (like that will ever happen)
Oh geeze. i should pick one.

Does cleaning count? My room is a disaster area. Surely something i've been trying to get done but haven't.

Sure, whatever project is important for you!  You could even combine it with making a new organizational system or rearranging your furniture or something.

Alright. I'll just have cleaning for now. And see how that goes. I'll post a picture of how big of a disaster it is. (its disgusting. I can't believe its this bad. I've never seen a room this bad.) And after ones.

Sarah, where did you get that picture from, it's so cute!!

I'm reeeeeaaaaallly not a crafty person, though I'd quite like to be, but I do have plans to make an album of photos from our epic trip to Europe last year, and I also haven't gotten a single wedding photo printed and we've been married nearly two years.  Those are both things I'd really like to work on finishing.
There, I've said it! Now I have to.  : )

Its a cute site. heh.

And now i SUPER have to clean my room because we're getting new tv/cable stuffs thursday morning. And i believe that requires being able to hook things up. So i'm attacking it tomorrow after i get back from things.

Now I just need to make my own and do a bit of sewing on my costume and LB's.  yay?

This fabric is to become my skirt.  Its much more dark red than pink, darn flash!

This pile of ribbon and trim is to become cuffs and a collar necklace.  Plus I still need to figure out a cravat for LB.

This is an awesome thread and I will therefore participate! ;)

Hmmm..... let's see, I'll start with finishing my scrapebook album.  From my wedding.  That happened 3 years, 6months and like 25 days ago.  :wow:

lol... i have a latch hook ("rug yarn") pillow that i started when i was 12. i worked on it a few years later and still have it sitting in a box somewhere.  does that count?  heeheehee.

seriously, though, i'm currently working on a b-day present for my sis.  her bday is nov. 1st and she loves Dia De Los Muertos stuff.  so... i'm making her some felt skeleton stuffies to send in her bday package - one representing her, one representing her girlfriend, and one representing their dog.  i kinda stole the idea from a recent issue of "cloth paper scissors" magazine, but it's my first attempt at making my own plushies.  they're starting out cute so far.  i need to finish them like... tonight!... so that i can mail her box out in time for bday delivery.  not sure if it'll happen... but fingers crossed!

Drats... de-throned in the very next post!  So sad.  Yes, it counts.

I really tend to not start things that I don't think I'll finish, because I'm pretty dedicated. HOWEVER, I don't really start a lot of crafty things these days. I do need to put a lot of stuff in scrapbooks, but that's currently not accessible. SO, I want some ideas of things to do.

I want neat decorating ideas, because I'm not great at decoration..when I'm not just buying stuff. I do have this cheapo bookcase. It's a put together one, and it's stained wood color, and I don't like it very much. P likes it, but I kind of want to do something to the outsides. I don't really want to spray paint it. I thought about regular painting it with a design, but I don't know if that would work. I thought about decoupaging it, but I've done that to lots of things, and it's kind of dumb? Any other ideas? I don't know if I will do anything, because P does like it how it is, but....?
I want other ideas of things to do, too!

eta: I'm not saying you guys are not dedicated, or whatever. Shush.

My skirt is done and I whipped up a fast capelet from the leftover material.

Wheeeee

Now I need to finish LB's items and I can go make candies!  And I need to trim my hat, clean the kitchen, workout, do laundry, shower... ugh!

Maybe KMK will take pictures for me of LB an I tomorrow night!
