You are here

I made that!! The official sharing/bragging thread.

We all seem to talk about and (sometimes) post pictures of our creations. Well here I am to call you all out!!  8-)

I want to see what you've cooked, sewn, painted, drawn, written (well, maybe a link to this one, if it is long), what-have-you! Even if you think it is horrible, we (or rather, I) WANT to see it!!

I'll start it off with my first adventure into the art of gluten free baking.

Its not the greatest, by any means, I heavily modified an old betty crocker recipe to the point where I think no one would recognize it.... 3 layer Banana Coconut gluten free vegan pirate ship cake with gluten free vegan banana cream and chocolate banana cream frostings. I still have to work on making the densities more 'uniform'/no breakage or cracking....

fair enough! She's cute! : )

so i'm moving back to pa in june and to celebrate i'm making a special collection based on the weather throughout the months in pa.

heres january.  i wanted the white to be sleek because the snow covering the ground fits every contour perfectly.  i used a dull yellow color based on the antiquated colors that especially come out in the winter months, the red covered bridges, dull yellow houses.  i'm also naming them the pa dutch names of the month.  so this is yenner.  february is going to be a black trenchcoat dress.  excited!!!  i'm getting these ready for a photo shoot with my friend who did the pictures below, this picture is just to remember what i want it to look like.  haha.  i have an awful memory.

heres a couple things i've done in the past for fashion shows, photo shoots and whatnot.  fun times!!  these were all done by draping, i had no idea how to make patterns.  even the jacket was draped.  i dont know how i did it.. i just remember seam ripping everything at least once.  haha.

A monkey! He's from a book called something like Super Happy Cute Crochet Amigurumi, with some color changes. It's hard to see from there, but he has little sandals =) He's a little over a foot high.

A kitteh with a ball of yarn (attached). I always have a tough time making small dolls (the stitches are tight, and any inconsistency becomes really obvious). So I'm quite pleased with how s/he turned out.

I am jealous of people who can make clothing or crochet for long periods of time. You have my jealousy.

The pattern version was a peach color (but I never see that color yarn, so I made him brown). Since it's a dull color, I made the spots in cotton candy type colors.

....I am thoroughly impressed and squee'd, fb.

(squee'd = the state of being that comes from making *squee* noises at the sight/mention of something adorable/awesome)

Wow!  Great thread!  There are a lot of creative/talented people on this site!  My passion is cake decorating.  I'll try to add some pics.....

I still need to add some screws, put on doors, paint/stain it, and do the final touches to my now enclosed firewood racks (the black tubular parts), but it beats my neighbors looking at the racks covered with plastic tarps held down with rope displaying a plethora of truckers' hitches.  (Please excuse the construction debris.)  I've now moved the wood a few times in a month's time and taken away the tarps.  The spiders that live amongst the firewood are very likely frazzled.
