Who can tell me about Santa Fe, NM?
My hubby has an opportunity to apply for a job in Santa Fe, NM. We currently live in RI. We visited AZ a year ago and absolutely loved it - the weather, the topography, and just a different vibe from New England.
So, we're thinking of making the move if he gets the job. Can anyone tell me about Santa Fe and nearby areas in terms of how vegan-friendly it is, if there's lots to do (we like cultural stuff - museums, sports, etc, and also like to hike, run, do outdoorsy stuff), etc.
Thanks so much!
i've never been, but i think it's pretty vegan friendly.
i think nm pixie lives around santa fe or maybe in...
NM Pixie does...and I'm 2 1/2 hrs north.
I love Santa Fe! It's vegan friendly, has a great Trader Joe's, and is very artsy. I always enjoy visiting friends there!
I don't know much about it other than it's a better place to live/visit than Albequerque (sp?)
OOh, I just saw this. Yeah, it's really vegan-friendly. There aren't any solely vegan restaraunts right now, but almost everywhere has good vegan options. A Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Wild Oats, a co-op, and a Natural Grocers. And as far as culture, we have tons. Lots and lots of museums, art galleries, a world-class opera, Spanish Market, Indian Market, and the Folk Art Market every year. Lots of hiking, mountains all around. Too bad you're not moving here, that would be so fun! The weather is like Flagstaff, though, not anything like southern AZ.
