Vegan friendly cities!

I'm very interested in moving somewhere a tad more populated with vegans once I graduate from college (which is in May)
I'd even love to get a job at a vegan/health place, while supplementing my 'future' art 'career'.
I've been looking around craigslist and places like that.. and it seems New York is a very good place for that (considering also that a friend of mine got a job at a place quickly)
But I also know Philadelphia has a some vegan places..

I'm only really familiar with Pennsylvania, but open to going anywhere (but prefer east coast at the moment)
Anyone have any opinions?

I want to move to NYC or San Francisco. Anybody got a place on their couch/floor for me?

:D

What about Seattle?  I didn't see it mentioned in this thread.  Non-vegan friends keep telling me I would absolutely love the city and can't believe I didn't move their after school.  It's on my shortlist as hopefully I'll be moving in the next year or so.

Asheville, NC?  Never would have thought about that one.  I'll have to look at potential jobs and schools in the area.

foof, just move to san luis obispo, ca. everyones doing it.

decidedlyindecisive, SD is vegan friendly, for sure! i grew up there... so it bores me. but pretty much any city in CA is bound to be at the very least easy to be a vegan in (i'm sure i will proved wrong... )

Wow!  San Luis Obispo looks absolutely beautiful!  But my mom always told me "Don't do something just because everyone else is doing it", but I never really listened to her.

it rained for the first time this season (we did have a freak thunderstorm once this summer... it was awesome) today and i got the privilege of riding my bike and walking in it and the pretty fog wrapping around the mountains...  :)>>>

Regarding the meet-up: I may not be able to make it on Sunday night.  I'm going to Atlanta for a baby naming ceremony that I thought was Saturday, but it is Sunday morning.  I'll be back in Asheville that night, but I don't know how late, probably pretty late.

So if I miss you guys, sorry, but I'd be up for a lunch or dinner Monday or Tuesday or Wed (lunch only).

NYC was awesome!  I was in the Village area, and every corner there was some awesome vegan place.
I went to a restaurant called Teany?  It really was tiny, but good food!  And it was a meat-free place!  OMG, I loved it.
I also really enjoyed a place called Earth Matters.. cute place and nice people!

I want to move there.... not to mention a friend lives there so at least I'd know someone!

Any of those times work for me too. Hoopy?
Nut, why don't you give me a call if you think you  might be back early enough on Sunday.
Laughing seed is closed Tuesdays, so we should keep that  in mind. Maybe we better do Rosettas  ::)

MOVE TO CALIFORNIA.  hespedal is right, all the cool kids are moving to san luis.  I live a few hours up the coast in santa cruz, possibly the most vegan-friendly place in the state.  AND it's on the beach, backed up to national redwood forests, a 90 minute drive to san francisco.  what's not to love?

I'm typically down (for school) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but my brother lives down here (at school now) and I've mastered the El enough to make it to The Diner ;)
I have seen the new menu, but I never get there in time for breakfast. I would love to try their Monte Cristo though! I always end up getting the Reuben because I'm never disappointed, then I eat some of whatever else other people get. mmmmm I could go for some of those sweet potato fries right about now...
I'll be on Winter Break soon- we should meet up!
