BBQ SEITAN SANDWICH FROM HERBIVORE!! YESSSSSS!! I so loved that sandwich that I ordered it twice during my trip to SF! :)>>>
I have been really craving the seitan fish and chips, even though I have no idea what it tastes like.
WANT WANT WANT!

WANT WANT WANT!
It was bp's meal, but I did have a few bites, and I know we both agreed that the "fish" was too dense. It was like GLUTEN. I mean, the fried part was good, and the whole thing tasted ok, just too much. I think the tofu fish was probably better. We ended up eating parts of the fried seitan with maple syrup and jam. ;D
Yeah, the fish wasn't awesome, it was just like, O HAI BIG FAT PIECE OF GLUTEN.
The fried pickles that were appetizers at Weird Fish were yummy, even though the ranch was just ok.
The fried pickles interest me. I want one, it sounds soo weird but soo good.
Very salty. That's pretty much it. Salty and greasy. Mmmmmmm.
I miss the sundaes. :(
i really need to go to Herbivore.
I didn't go to Herbivore either. Small chance I might be in Bay Area in a couple of weeks. If so, I hope I can carve out some time to eat at Herbivore or to check out one of your Berkeley recommendations, secondbase.
have you guys reviewed these establishments on HappyCow?
'cause you like, should.

Pshh. I reviewed them on VW.
ok the bad reviews of the fish make me feel better....but I think it was the look of the fried batter that mademe want it so so much.
Still want, but cravings aren't so bad.
PS if you're lying just to make me feel better about never being able to try it, don't tell me that you're lying!
Great pics! I want me some fried pickles!
um, I had the tofu "fish" and chips and it was amazing.
noooooooooooo don't tell me that!
although my craving has passed a bit as I had a 'fish' fillet for dinner today. I really love the chinese supermarket for all their weird vegan goodies!
