You are here

Dear Chicagoans

Anyone know if any of these are near the Chicago Theatre?  I'll be there Saturday and I'm looking for dinner before the show.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i just discovered that if you go to Google maps, type in your location, then do "search nearby" and type in Vegetarian... well, it gives you a list of near by vegetarian restarants.  Wow Technology!!  So I guess I answered my own question!  And you should try this out sometime in your own area  :)

HEY YOU,

yeah like the below are relatively near the chicago theatre however, for all except number 3 and maybe 4, you will have to cab or bus it:

1.  haifa cafe
2.  karyns cooked (AWESOME PLACE- you would have to take the bus but its worth it.  make sure if you go, you leave plenty of time to relax and enjoy the food.)
3.  oasis- within waking distance though ive never been
4.  pf changs- also close- ive never been

good luck and enjoy- i can not say enough about karyns cooked- try it!!

Blarg I used to work at a PF Changs... I didn't like the food at all, personally, even from the very start.  And I usually love Chinese food.  Overpriced for sure.  Not healthy.

Thanks for the recommendation I went to Karyn's Cooked... Food was amazing!  I had the raw plate, came with nori, hummos, pate, broccoli, and cabage it was super yum!  My friend had the "meat loaf" it also was awesome, he also ordered the lentil soup which was the best lentil soup that ever existed!  One problem, which I guess I should have thought about telling someone when I was there, whenever I'd go to wipe my mouth with their cloth napkin I'd get a huge whiff of fabric softener.  That is not a cool smell when you're eating.  It was like flowery and overpowering.  One note to anyone who might be thinking about going here, make reservations.
Also... Family Guy Live was the most rad thing I've seen in quite a while!  Those people are super talented!  It's awesome to see the people behind the voices.  MacFarlaine is Super talented.  I got to see Mike Henry in the voice of "Herbert" singing a love song live, who could ask for anything more right?!  I totally reccomend it if ever it comes to a city near you!
