ANN ARBOR

Ann Arbor is great for vegan eats.

Places to check out:

Earthen Jar: A pay by the pound all vegetarian mostly vegan buffet. They serve Indian food as well as "American" classics like mac and cheese, lasagna and the like. Its like 7 dollars a pound so it can get sort of pricy if you're like me and want 3 pounds of food, however awesome place, awesome vibes awesome people. Free water in tin cups that you wash yourself after your meal.

Big ten Burritio: Ann Arbor's number 1 burrito spot. If you're going elsewhere you're probably fucking up. They have a normal veggie burrito that you can get without cheese and its 3.50 tax included. It weighs about 2 pounds and is a lot of food for the money. Veggie no cheese comes with rice, black beans, salsa, and lettuce if you choose. I like to add guac. You can also order a giant which is like 4 pounds of food and bigger than my girlfriends head. No lies.
Awesome place and open til 4am.

Jerusalem Garden: Super awesome falafel and sandwhiches. Lots of good vegan options. They serve meat as well but the options are awesome and the price is cheap. Its right next door to Earthen Jar.

Jazzy Veggie: New all vegan eatery in town. I haven't eaten there yet but from what I understand they serve classic americana food in a "fast food" like setting. Soups, salads, pizzas, and sandwhiches. I hear their sweet potato quinoa burger is to die for.

Theres a whole slew of indian and thai restraunts in ann arbor also most of which have awesome vegan options too. Try it out if you're ever in town

Is it all vegan? It's hard to tell from the menu, as they have cheese listed, but not vegan cheese. There's vegan mayo listed once, but that's it. ???

I live near Lansing and once in awhile, I get the chance to drive down to Ann Arbor for some yummy vegan food.

Some of the places there I like are:
-Siam Square. It's a thai restaurant in a hotel(restaurant has its own entrance separate from the hotel). The hotel isn't so great, but the restaurant itself is nice and has many vegan options. I have had good customer service every time I go and they are willing to check on the ingredients for you if they don't know.
-Chiang Shang. It's a Chinese restaurant that has it's own vegetarian menu and they even prepare the vegetarian/vegan food in a separate kitchen. They have many great fake meats (mostly seitan). They are also willing to answer your questions about the ingredients, to make sure that a vegetarian meal is vegan.
-Seva, it's an all vegetarian restaurant. They are kinda pricy but they do mark on the menu which food is vegetarian and which is vegan. I would recommend the tempeh burger and their sweet potato fries. I haven't been to this restaurant in many years, so I am not sure if the menu is still the same or not. I remember their chocolate cake with tofutti ice cream being pretty good. I am now quite the baker, so I can make cake at home.

I have been wanting to go back to Ann Arbor soon and try the Jazzy Veggie. I would like to hear of anyones experience with Jazzy Veggie if you went or know of anyone who went. What is recommended to order there?

Wow, sounds good and a good price. Will have to try this place out sometime when I am in Ann Arbor.

Where is this place located in Ann Arbor? I love Middle Eastern food! Most Middle Eastern places are veg friendly
