The Diva Cup

Do you use it? Do you love it or hate it? Does it actually stay in? Can you feel it any more than you would  be aware of a tampon?

I've been thinking of trying it....but I'm just not sure yet.  :>

Diva Club

Read all 200 pages.

We all love it. Get one.

Stays in fine, way better than tampon, can't feel it, cut off some of the stem.

I've actually been interested in getting the Diva cup--but I have a paragard IUD. I know it says I shouldnt wear a Diva cup with a paragard, but I've also heard the reverse and that if you're careful you can have both. Since you've read all 200 pages I assume you know your stuff, and do you think it'd be okay for me to get a diva cup too?

Oh, I meant "you read," not "read." hehe, but I have read most. I know several people have an IUD, and use diva, and haven't had any problems. I don't have any experience with that, though. You might want to ask in the diva club thread.

oh haha i saw the diva club but figured it just came in my search because of the word dive and was unrelated to the actual diva cup.

I think I might give it a try then.

I have both a Diva and a Paragard (over a year with both), never had any problems. I could see how theoretically there could be problems, like if the strings were long and the edge of the cup + skin grabbed them while drawing the cup out (but the diva cup isn't supposed to be right against the cervix, plus my strings are short). Or, if you don't break the suction while taking the cup out (but still, getting a T through a cervix? seems like that would be difficult, suction or no).
I tried looking this up before, didn't see any real studies, just anecdotal stuff. I'm guessing that when people find that their IUD has been rejected, they connect it with the menstrual cup. or anything else that could be perceived as having an effect.

I gave a friend a deadline to get something done.  The penalty was my telling him all about the use and benefits of diva.  He's super squirmish about "lady issues" and he's going to get in under deadline.  I'm a bit disappointed.  I'll have to save it for another time.

I've got one and I love it, the first cycle or 2 that I used it I definitely noticed it and it felt a little weird to me, but I've since gotten used to it and I would never go back! Everyone I know who uses one (well, 2 people...) love it as well.

Sorry to hear that.  :(

I'm learning how to use my cup. It's a lunette - easier for me to get in Australia than diva. I'm starting to love it now I'm getting the hang of it.
Here is a very useful comparison of all the different brands:

There's also areas of the site offereng tips and help. Hope it helps.  :)

it took me a while to get it to go without leaking... the first couple days were always bad at first but you will get it figured out eventually. lube helps get it situated for me (if you read diva club thread you will know all about my love of lube)

I'm not sure if this has already been answered, but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. I have an IUD and had used a Diva cup prior to getting it but was told not to use it with the paragard. I did some research and everyone recommended the Lunette cup. I bought one and have used it without problems for over a year now. I think it's a bit shorter than the Diva cup, and they recommend you get the smaller one for IUD users. I loved my Diva cup and I love my Lunette. It does take a little getting used to, but once you figure it out, you'll wonder 1) why it took someone this long to figure out a better way to handle your cycle and 2) why you waited so long to try it!
