What did you cook / Eat today? .....A question to drool
We can share in this place, our daily intake of what we cooked and ate.This can be Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.
This can be a real fun thread if people post the photographs too.
Today I prepared Fawa beans-Potato spicy curry and Rotis (Indian breads are my wife's department)
Ate with leftover rice and Moong beans spicy curry and Naga chutney. :)>>>

Lunch: 1/2 veggie sandwich with dijon, lettuce, onion, tomato, shrooms, cukes, bell pepper.
That filled you up? I'd be familshed.
It was a Dagwood style 1/2 veggie sandwich on over-sized pumpernickel . I could barely get my mouth around it! :)
I had to bring my dinner to work with me last night, so I filled a glass container with quinoa, seasoned lentils, canned spinach, and sun dried tomatoes. Awesome!
breakfast- pumpkin bagel (from local bagel shop and they are vegan!) with homemade pumpkin cream cheeze (tofutti + pumpkin butter + cinnamon) and drizzled with agave. a glass of orange juice, cup of coffee, and a banana + maple almond butter
snack- s'mores spooky zbar and a pear
lunch- whole grain vienna bread, smoked tofurkey slices, vegannaise, lettuce, and tj's dried orange cranberries (this sandwich was delicious, it tasted like thanksgiving!) a honeycrisp apple, and kashi crackers
snack - bowl of peanut butter bumpers and vanilla soy milk
dinner - bbq grilled tempeh, baked sweet potato (earth balance and cinnamon), oven roasted brussel sprouts, and a salad with annie's goddess dressing
dessert - amazing rice pudding! it was so easy. i used leftover basmati rice, vanilla soy milk, vanilla, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pure maple syrup. topped with more warm soy milk. it was heaven.
hmm...i guess i really enjoy food! :)
Oh, I just had a DIVINE late lunch/snackie.
I made a blackberry sauce with frozen blackberries, juice squeezed from an orange, some water, a little raw sugar, and cornstarch to thicken. Poured that over fresh, diced peaches and had a wild food orgy in my mouth :)>>>

Had spicy rice +Chick pea flour balls in a spicy sauce with pickles followed by plain rice with leftover curry.And this was for lunch
For Dinner, just finished preparing Mix Vegetable curry in Cashew+Coconut+Tomato+Onion+Garlic+Ginger+Green peppers gravy.
Spices were Turmeric powder+Cimmin powder+Garam Masala powder. :)>>>
What is "Cimmin powder"???
Snackage: 4 flax crackers, banana, grapes
Lunch: nada (I was running errands yesterday)
Dinner: salad with Boston bibb lettuce, red onion, tomato, cukes, creminis, bell pepper, avocado, marinated artichoke hearts, Kalamata olives, croutons, and Vidalia onion vinegarette.
Snackage: salsa and tortilla chips
I think I am in love with Bryanna Clark Grogan. I made her Boursin yesterday, which I'm eating for breakfast with flatbread crackers. Someday I hope to eat and devour everything on her blog.
I think I need to start posting here....I have put on a lot of weight recently and writing out my daily foods helps me find out when I'm eating particularly badly.
So for yesterday:
breakfast smoothie made with soymilk, big slice of pineapple, handful of grapes, a banana and half a paw paw (or was it a papaya, I've never really been able to tell the difference!)
lunch massive bowl of home made soup (leek, potato, carrot, sweet potato & celery), small portion of coconut rice pudding & portion of grapes
dinner this is where I fell down yesterday - tarka dal and bhindi bahji (poor spelling) from the take away down the road
I may also have gone out with friends and had 3 pints of lager ::)
3 Pints of Lager is a mortal sin if you are worried about your weight.
I know, I know....my proper diet/healthier eating plan starts on Monday...for some reason I'm weird and all new things have to start on Mondays for me!
she said she might have had them......maybe she really didn't ;)
Dinner last night was unfried homemade beans with salsa and awesome Focaccia Bread with Rosemary.
Breakfast today was what was left of the Focaccia bread. >:D
Lunch/Dinner is going to be me cooking a giant meal for the family. Veggies and Elbows Casserole with quick Dinner Rolls, Apple Stuffed Acorn Squash, and Praline Sweet Potato Casserole. We have tons of fall veggies at the moment, so I figure I should as many as them as possible. ;)b Besides, I think using anything foreign and unrecognizable (read: tofu and etc.) would be scary for my very conservative grandparents. I hope my vegan meal goes over well!
