suprisingly vegan (or not vegan) things

so, my sister just gave me a bunch of small stuff of hers b/c she's trying to clean out her house, and among them was this little heart tin of altoids with heart mints, so i was like how cute, yeah yeah i want it, and then later i looked at the ingredients, and they have gelatin in them :/
what are some things you have discovered to your surprise are vegan? orr not vegan?
doritos sweet chili flavor. only vegan one. my boyfriend gets really excited about it. i'm kinda meh. the only doritos i liked before going veg were the cool ranch (obviously i can't have em anymore) and these chili ones are kind of sweet, which seems weird to me. (duh, hence the 'sweet' chili label...but still.)
It's just as well that you don't like them. It turns out that Sweet Chili Doritos are not even vegetarian. :'(

A surprising one for me was Kroger Great Value Mushroom Gravy. I'd bake up some fries, coat them in Daiya and cover them in the gravy for a nice warm poutine.
On the Kroger and Fries note, one unfortunate non-vegetarian thing I found: The Kroger Great Value fries, the super cheap big bulk bag, is totally cooked in beef tallow. Didn't even notice that until half way through a bag while drinking one night... total let down, especially considering that they're like $1.25 for a 5lb bag.
In Dallas Airport, among all the steak and meat restaurants, there is a burrito place that has not one, but TWO burrito dishes labeled right on the menu as vegan. *passed out from excitement* :)>>>
At DFW?! What's it called? My husband's flying out of there next week, and he will be so psyched!
Yay for him! Tell him to look for the Fuddruckers, it's right beside it. I got the roasted veggie burrito (labeled as vegan on the menu) with chips, salsa and guacamole and really enjoyed it! It is called 360 Gourmet Burritos.
Bless you, PilotKevin. I know you're not around here anymore, but you saved me yesterday. I was stuck in Arlington, TX, as my flight out of DFW had been canceled. I couldn't get to decent vegan food from my hotel without a $40 cab ride, but, because of this post (which, for some reason, I remembered and was able to find by searching 'dallas airport'), I knew that when I returned to the airport I could get some good grub.
BTW, the lady put up a "closed" sign just after she took my order. If I had been a minute later and found that it was closed, I would have crumpled into a weeping heap of hunger.
The Snyders Pretzels makes a hot wing flavor that is seemingly vegan. And super unhealthy, but really fucking delicious.
Do not buy them!!! ;)

fb - in your first post you mention egg rolls being vegan but i think theres egg in the wrapper, spring roll wrappers are vegan though (rice based).

the calcium OJ is also not vegan. I think they said it was fish based!!! ewww
