Soy Beef Recommendations???

I havent had much luck finding a beef or chicken replacement (looking for strip or chunk type not patty.) Does anyone have any favorites...store bought or homemade? ??? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you

I vote for the Morningstar strips.

Not soy, but I like seitan for a beef-like stir fry.http://www.tofutown.net/index.php?id=93

For beef-style I also tend to make my own seitan, but the very best chicken-style strip/chunk stuff I've found since going vegan (I used to be a Quorn man), is by far: White Wave brand Chicken-Style Wheat Meat.

So chickenny, in a teriyaki stirfry you might even fool a lot of meateaters, maybe. My only qualm is that because I like to switch up my meals as much as possible, so much comes in a box that I usually can't finish it in time. But it's awesome. Best stirfry I've had since the conversion.

i loooove Yves Veggie Round Ground, original style, in a beef taco type recipe. I just cook the round-ground with taco seasoning according to the directions on the seasoning packet (alternatively i make my own taco seasoning, recipe on this site called "totally safe taco seasoning" or something like that is really good).

i have to say though, that it's been at LEAST 10 years since i've had a beef taco, and maybe even longer than that. i have vague recollections of really liking the beef tacos at taco bell, but in all honesty i have no idea what actual beef tastes like. however, i have made these tacos for my non-vegetarian friends and everyone seems to like them, even those that eat beef on a regular basis.

Thank you ALL for your replies!!! This is a great start. I've kinda been making only "one pot meals" that do not call for meat substitutes, but have been wanting dishes with more texture. I have tried very few store products, but no luck. I will definitely try all your suggestions. Thank you for your time....keep the ideas coming ;D

I love lite life beef style...they make a sausage style too. i use it for "meatloaf" and also I roll them up into balls and saute them a little for "meatballs". You could do this and add them to your stew or whatever.
