Sorghum!!

Okay, so being pregnant has me thinking about foods that I haven't thought about for a long time, and it has been years since I have had sorghum.  But I loved it when I had it.  Now I am becomming obsessed with getting some but I can't find it here in Texas and I don't feel like driving 10 hours back to Missouri to buy it.  Do any of you know where I can order some off of the internet?

Did you mean the syrup or flour?  I assumed syrup but...

AHHHHHH!!!!  I WANT SORGHUM!!!!!

Sorry, temporary loss of sanity. I only got one reply so far, and you are teasing me, it is only for the empty container.

Doesn't anybody else in the world besides me like Sorghum?

Isn't sorghum vegan?  It comes from a plant.  I am pretty sure that it is.

OMG, I am so craving warm buskets with vegan butter and sorghum, I GOTTA HAVE IT!  Sorry, it is like I get these little cravings...since getting pregnant, and if I can't get what I am craving I become OBSESSED with what I am craving and cant think of anything else but what I am craving.  It is AWFUL.  Then again, it may have nothing to do with pregnancy, but it makes a good excuse, I am normally a crazy person anyway!

No, I mean the syrup.  I found the flour at Whole Foods, but I want the syrup that goes on biskuts.

You know, I don't really know what sorghum is made from, it is just this thick, syrup like stuff, really looks at LOT like honey only tastes different.  It is really sweet.  All I know is it is really really good on fresh from the oven soft warm buskits.  I thought that it was made from corn, but I don't think that is right.  You just have to try it, I cant' describe it, if I order it I would LOVE to share it with you all, if you will be down in Houston anytime soon!  Come on over, I will make a HUGE batch of vegan buskits and we can all sit around talk about life, drink sweet tea and eat sorghum on  buskits.  I wold like that a lot, sounds like fun!  I love to have people over, and meeting my fellow vegwebbers would be the best!

I'd check any of these places out on BBB first, but it looks like it might be possible to order it.

Ahhh, mdvegan, YOU ARE MY HERO!!!!

I think I am going to whip out the credit card right now and get to ordering.

THANKS!

By the way, what is BBB?

I see you used Google shopping.  I have never tried that before.  I think that next time I am looking for something I will try that.  When I googled Sorghum it just came up with some wierd stuff.  Then again I didnt' try too hard, I have been so busy at work that I havn't had much time to spend with it.  I dont' have internet at home.  Thank you very much for this.

I think BBB = Better Business Bureau.  My mom told me that her grandfather was well known in her hometown for making syrup out of sorghum.  Usually, it's just used as animal feed.  I've never tried it.

I would compare it more to molasses as it's rather thick, and while it's very sweet, the flavor has some of that...I dunno what it is...molassessness to it.

/LOVES sorghum, btw
