Quick Poll: Wedding food, I have a choice!!

So, my brother's getting married in three weeks, and their venue has just given them some vegan options to choose from for me.  Vegweb, help me decide!

Entrée

Wild Mushroom Risotto with lashings of truffle oil
or
Potato Pumpkin and Pea Samosa with Mango puree, pear and beetrot salad

Mains

Moussaka with grilled eggplants, courgettes and chickpeas with radish and orange salad
or
Mezze Platter of Falafel, Hummus, Babaganoush, Tabouleh and Pita

I only recently started liking mushrooms, and do really like them, but I worry that the risotto sounds *too* mushroomy, and 'lashings of oil' doesn't exactly sound appealing : /
Samosa sounds good, but I don't like beetroot....
Both mains sound good

The samosa sounds wonderful!  I don't know about the beetroot salad as I've never had a beet, but the falafel pita sounds delightful too!

I'm feeling the samosa and falafel stuff!

samosa. either main.

hehe yah thanks guys!
I love moussaka but think the falafel plate sounds more summery so I'm probably leaning that way.

also: this stuff just makes me think why on earth aren't more vegetarian options like these?  I can't imagine any vegetarian looking at those choices and saying 'eww, where's the cheese?' so why not just make it more inclusive for vegans/lactose intol people etc? /wishful thinking.

I'm all about mushrooms and mezze.  :)

Good options.

Agreed with your point on the veg*n/lactose intolerant.  Last wedding meal I had involved half a mini quiche (the other veggie person got the other half - I know because I asked for the other half as I was starving!) and cooked veg.  I couldnt even have the roasties as they'd been cooked with the meat.

I voted samosa and moussaka btw.

I'm with veggydog....shooms and mezze.  I don't know what a "lashing" of oil is.  I even tried looking it up in the culinary dictionary and found nothing, but I do like white truffle oil.  I've never had the black.  Be bold, try something new!

Are you going to choose the one that wins?

mushrooms and falafel! but they all sound yum

I'd want something substantial, as weddings take it out of me, so I'd go with shrooms and moussaka.

It was all very tasty!
Best part about it was my samosa was hands down the best entrée and everyone at our table was jealous because the two 'normal' options weren't actually that nice haha!
