potato "cheese" bake

Hi there. I have been tweaking a yummy casserole recipe and will submit it to the directory when I've got the proportions figured out. For now, though, here is the draft:
Place four or five potatoes, peeled, and very thinly sliced, in a lightly oiled casserole dish. Over top of the potatoes, dump one can of cooked white beans (rinsed). In a blender, puree some water, chashews, garlic powder, salt, cornstarch (or arrowroot powder), and hickory smoke flavoring. (This is where the tweaking is happening right now. Basically, I just dumped a bunch of that stuff in and gave it a whirl.) Pour that mixture over the beans/potatoes. Bake covered at 350 (F) until potatoes are soft. Remove cover and brown the top.
Enjoy!

what kind of white beans?
that sounds yummy :)
Get to that tweaking, Sparkle! This sounds wonderful.
BTW, I've never used liquid smoke. It's one of those ingredient that sort of intimidates me for some reason. ???
I don't know what kind of beans... the can just says "white beans."
Perhaps cannalini?
