Lactose Tolerance Campaign!?

that commercial is creepy

they (Nestle) are using "tongue in cheek"  humor to market their flavored milk products and directing it towards the  younger crowd.  they know this marketing strategy sells well with this group.

some of us choose not to ingest dairy products for different reasons (myself included) and the commercial could possibly seem offensive by seeming to make  light of such important issues as discrimination and prejudices, but i would think it isn't meant to offend- just to make the viewers chuckle which they hope will then sell more of their product; just a marketing ploy.

my thought was that, at least at some level, it brings up the idea that being prejudice is wrong, so i just decided to take that positive from it.  but maybe that's just me!   ;)

After I watched that commercial I laughed as  it reminded me of a billboard I saw in New Mexico.  I recently finished a two month road trip around the U.S. and while I was crossing through New Mexico, I saw a billboard that read "Milk is Still Good for You!" and it made me laugh because it was so simply stated, like the billboard had feelings, like it felt defeated by the uprising "intolerant" crowd.  "Milk has Feelings too!"  I don't know, it's kind of just a funny side note, but the growing awareness of a dairy-free lifestyle may finally be hitting the big guys!
