humus

i need a humus recipe please

I havent tried any recipes but what I do when I make hummus is soak the dry chick peas for 12-14 hours and then boil them for 1-2 hours, until they are really soft and then put them in the fridge for one day.
After that I peel the skin stuff off all of them... it takes a long time and isnt really necessary, Im just scarred of them.

Then I just put them in the food processor with some garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, pepper, and tahini.
For about 9 oz of dry chick peas I use one clove of garlic, half a lemon, one teaspoon each of paprika, salt, pepper and a little less than 1/4 cup of tahini. Those were just estimates, I never measured any of it.

I hope that helps you some. I wouldnt suggest using the canned chick peas because of how much sodium they have and they just taste different.

Lots of hummus recipes on this site.  Here's the link.  If it doesn't work type in "hummus" (not the way you spelled it) in the "Search VebWeb" feature to the upper left.  Hummus is good because you can be as creative as you want to be.

It's not a word most of us are familiar with.  I've also seen it spelled "hommus" before.
