Favorite Bloody Mary Recipe?

Does anyone have a favorite? I've been drinking them for the past month or so without realizing they weren't vegan  :o because of the worchestire sauce (which can easily be subbed with Wizard's vegan worchestire)... So I would like to make my own!

2 recipes that look pretty legit are:

I know I like mine spicy, peppery, and i love me some green olives to snack on...

If you have any other good links please let me know! I'm craving one!

Thanks!

I like all the Bloody (tomato juice, spice and fixings) without the Mary (the vodka). I can't imagine why people drink vodka, except to get as much alcohol in their bodies in as short a time as possible. It tastes like a drycleaner smells.

Tomato juice, vodka, fresh horseradish, olive juice, hot sauce, black pepper, celery salt. Garnish with more olives.

Fill your glass with ice. I usually do 2oz of vodka, then fill with tomato juice and add the rest to taste. If you like olives, toss some olive juice in that shit. Bomb. For fun, add anything pickled and try different hot sauces. (I make a great bloody maria using 1800 and sriracha!)

Horseradish is critical.

Yabbit, it's all about the quality of the vodka.  I really like Level.

"nar nar"? You what?
If you mince your own fresh horseradish you will weep big tears. I've never seen it fresh, anywhere unless you grow your own. But it is serious stuff. Definitely buy it in a jar.

I grate it with a microplane. You can buy it in a jar too. And yes, I just skip the worcestershire. You can add a dash of of vegan worc if you want, but I don't think it adds anything to the flavor, really.

There is this old Asian dude who dresses like a female anime character that goes to raves in San Francisco. We call him NAR NAR BINKS.

This is a photo of him:

I am really picky when it comes to vodka. I can't stand smirnoff, or even absolut really. Tastes like rubbing alcohol.

For lower end, I go with Stoli. That's my "well" vodka that I use in all basic vodka drinks (screwdriver, vodka/cran, bloody mary, etc). I love Belvedere, but find that Ketel 1 also makes killer dirty martinis. I use higher end when it's a drink that focuses on the quality of the liquor involved, so it's belvedere, ketel, or grey goose. I've not tried Level. Where is it from?

ya i always got my dirty martinis with kettle one... prob just stick with that... and i agree smirnoff is repulsive... might try something cheaper if kettle is too expensive since it will be pretty masked in a bloody mary...

SB: you call him nar nar binks cause he's covered in pacifiers (aka binkies)? damn he's tore up looking... i'm sure i would be as well if i was that old and still pill popping and going to raves lol

i guess there is "pepper" vodka or something that is supposedly good in bloody mary's according to a few recipes... never seen it though, but i haven't really been looking...

I always use ketel one when I make my own, but I drink well vodka when I go out.  Me and SB go to this old theater alot and I always get one there.  They make one of the best bloody mary's I've ever had.  They add a splash of beer to it.  I love it spicy and w/ lots of celery salt, and olive juice
