cast iron skillet
I have one..... after I scrub and season it, what are some delicious vegan things that are particularly delectable in a cast iron skillet? I've heard potatoes and smashed crispy broccoli......cornbread obviously, socca....anything else?
Probably bean recipes that need some baking time in the oven. Also eggplant dishes where the eggplant is fried and crispy.
Welsh cakes, pancakes, crepes...anything that you can cook on a griddle. The castiron skillet serves as your "griddle" and if it's well-seasoned things won't stick. Except that first crepe of the batch, they always stick.
You can also put it in the oven and make corn bread. Oven baked cornbread in a castiron skillet is da bomb.
