Step 1
The Doctor will give you the abortion pill at the clinic. You will also be given some antibiotics to take after the abortion pill. The abortion pill works by blocking the hormone progesterone.

Only use sanitary pads for bleeding after an abortion.

NOTE:

It is always advisable not to have any cold drinks or cold food when using this medication because it will slow down the reaction of the pill. It is better to ingest warm food and drinks

For most women, medication abortion is like having an early miscarriage.

It is normal for you to have bleeding and cramping.

You might also feel dizzy, nauseous and even possibly wanting to vomit.

You may feel temporary abdominal pain or strong cramps.
