Any favorite juicer recipes?

My mom, in a panicked response to the botulism that paralyzed a couple consumers in Bolthouse Farms' (otherwise excellent) carrot juice (to which I am addicted), has done the utterly sweet and generous thing of buying me a juicer.  It's not here yet-- but I've never had one before, and I'm so excited!  What shall I look forward to making?  ;D

Simple but pineapple juice is amazing by itself or with an apple..I agree carrot and apple is really good. I once tried just grapes and wow...way too much sugar for me. During my 21 juice fast the last 5 days ALL I had was pineapple..I couldn't handle the greens anymore but I liked putting garlic with my greens ;D

Most juicers come with a "recipe" booklet with tons of different fruit/vegetable combinations to try. I just got the Jack Lalane juicer a couple of months ago and it works great. Maybe I'm weird but I love the green stuff. I throw in broccoli, kale, parsley, etc...I guess I just love thinking about how much nutrition I can cram into one little cup! To make the bitter juices more palatable I use tons of celery or cucumber. I personally can't stand the apples mixed with veggies. A fruit combo that is excellent is strawberries and orange.

Mmm, thanks all!  I like virtually everything, so I can see that this is going to be fun (even if it does end up pricey).

What do y'all do with the pulp?

CUCUMBER. It's deliciously sweet when juiced. My favorite is carrot-apple-cucumber-beet juice. It's sweet and LOVELY.

Pulp gets composted by my in-laws - we collect all compostables in a mini compost bucket and then deliver it to them when full!

I have to thank you all for the suggestions.  I've been going buck wild with this thing (it IS the Jack LaLanne model, and I love it-- it gets quite a lot of the juice out of the pulp, so I don't feel quite as wasteful as I would otherwise).  I've been making us a big glass of juice once a day, and my partner loves it!

I'm funny about apples and pears and whatnot-- I like to eat them when they're quite hard-- so if I buy a bag of them, I can eat the first several and juice the rest.  I am liking apple, pear, carrot, celery, ginger, mint, melon, cucumber (mmm!) (not all together, but in combos) and everything I've chucked in there so far... I've been a wussy about grinding greens up so far, but I'm going to get to them.

I have a friend with a composter, so I'm saving up pulp for her in a freezer bag, but I'll eventually add some to a baked good and see how that works out.  I'm fanatical about fiber, so I feel guilty throwing it to the worms!  ;)
