12 grain bread!!!

Can some one please tell me what each of the grains are in "12 grain bread?" I love it and I want to bake it my self but I'm not quite sure where to start... your help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks so much!!

Most bakeries use a grain mix that has everything mixed in. I haven't seen it at grocery stores, but you may be able to find it in the cereal section sold as "9 grain cereal". Then you could add some sunflower seeds and what not to make up the other grains. You might also find it with the flours called '12 grain flour".

Here's what the back of my 12-grain bread says: wheat, barley, millet, oats, brown rice, rye, corn, triticale, spelt, buckwheat, quinoa, sunflower seeds.

I got this off of cooks.com. It has honey in it, but you could use agave or a mixture of brown rice syrup and corn syrup. Or up the liquid a little and use 1/2 cup sugar.

Good luck!

12 GRAIN BREAD
6 c. hot water
2 c. 9 grain cracked cereal
1/3 c. millet, raw or cooked
1 c. sunflower seeds
1/3 c. sesame seeds
2/3 c. honey
1/3 c. oil
1/3 c. applesauce
2 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. yeast, instant
1 c. gluten flour
Whole wheat flour

Combine first 9 ingredients and let soak for a few minutes. Add gluten flour, yeast and enough whole wheat flour until dough pulls away from side of bowl. Knead for 10 minutes and bake at 350 degrees approximately 45 minutes. While wheat is really good in this recipe, the bread is light and fluffy. This recipe also makes wonderful rolls!

Good luck!
