I received on the Manchester Vegan Society mailing list. I am posted it here despite the fact I don't think there are many vegans from Manchester on vegweb...it is just nice to have an event to attend for once :)
"WE'RE HAVING A PARTY!
Come along and celebrate World Vegan Day (and Halloween) with us on 1st
November at Cafe Mod Pop on Oldham Street, Manchester from 7pm till 11pm
(ish).
There will be vegan wraps and stew, live music and lots of laughter.
Bring your own alcohol and corkscrews!
MVS members will be making vegan cakes but more vegan cakes will be
welcome (you can never have enough cakes).
Other snacks (all vegan) and drink such as tea and coffee will be
available upon request."
vegan food AND live music?!
If I had unlimited funds, I'd book a flight to Manchester on the 31st.
unfortunately, the cheapest one-way flight I could find through Expedia is just under $1,200. so....

I should purchase an airbed, I can expect a guest???? :)
I'll be there!
We should all go and crash at db's and laugh at 3 am.

ummm...yes, certainly....if you can help me scrape together about $1,000.
I found a good round-trip deal for around $1,100!!
but shit, I just remembered I don't have a passport. so I'll need help getting one of those by next week (impossible, I know)
Well, I am going to do my hair, put on my makeup and head out to the Vegan party :)
It is ashamed you couldn't make it. I guess your flight got delayed ;)
