Tales from Vegan Bake Sales For Haiti

Hi everyone!
I love the fact that Vegan Bake Sales for Haiti are sweeping the country. Proves how compassionate us vegans really can be!
I'm baking for the Milwaukee sale next week, but in the meantime I'd love to see pictures and hear experiences from the other sales around the nation!
Keep making baked goods for good folks!

I donated to the Vegan Bake Sale for Haiti San Francisco a couple weekends ago.. both by purchasing some FANTASTIC baked goods as well as dropping off some cookies to sell.. the day seemed like a success to me, when I got there I could barely see the table so many people were in front of it!
We got an e-mail the next day stating that over $3,000 had been raised! Its amazing to see how communities are getting together across the country :)
We had a small one in Dallas last weekend, organized on short notice by an awesome lady who works at Spiral Diner (http://www.spiraldiner.com/).
It lasted 5 hours on a very cold Saturday and raised a little over $1000.
I had a great time making some cute cupcakes and an even better time meeting more local vegans!
I went to the bake sale in Falls Church, VA - it was awesome! There weren't too many people there when I was there, but it was good none the less. I picked up a delicious red velvet cupcake. I hope the bake sale was successful!
