Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge

During the entire month of October 2011, ten downtown/midtown restaurants are featuring specialty vegan items (including appetizer/ soup, main entrees, desserts) on their menus.

This month-long event is an informal contest, a "challenge" if you will, amongst participating chefs. Diners who order these vegan delights will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites via our website, and will be entered in a drawing for prizes!

Why vegan cuisine? It is nutritious, delicious, cholesterol & dairy-free and contains no animal products (i.e. no meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, dairy, butter, etc.) Vegan dining is a healthy choice that is compassionate towards all the earth's beings, human & animal, and is environmentally responsible as well. California Vegan Restaurants is dedicated spreading the word about the benefits of choosing a vegan diet and lifestyle and the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge, our first major initiative, is shaping up to be a resounding success. Please support the participating chefs and restaurants and ALL businesses promoting healthy and socially responsible products and services.
