New 2010 meet up poll, and discussion!

Let's get this started, bitchez. I can start saving after a while..........hopefully.

You can have one choice, but may change your vote. I'm undecided! Asheville would be good, but I'm up for any of them.

Currently, Atlanta with 5, followed by Asheville with 3, followed by Austin with 2, and other has 0.

I'm off to research the ATL so I can convince others that it's great!

Yeah. We definitely have restaurants in the city and surrounding areas. I have a Camry, so could potentially tote around 4 people who are comfortable with each other. If it's in Atlanta. If it's in Asheville and I have the money, I can get people to there from Atlanta, maybe.

I just figured out where the Cosmo's is that's near me. 8.5 miles away. I pass it all the time! I feel like a dummy.

I think so! To me, it's like the Southest of the South. haha
If we do Austin, I could get a tattoo, then!

To me, Texas is just south. Purriod. Georgia is Southeast.

I picked ashville because I had already talked to l2a about coming for a visit, but I could also do atlanta

Come onnnnnnnn, Austin! It's home for me, so I have lodging and it wouldn't be too far of a trip. Regardless of my own preferences for convenience, it is a truly phenomenal city. I guarantee vegwebbers will have a great time exploring the delicious veg restaurants, lovely bookstores, and awesome live music scene downtown.

Three way tie!!!!!! Lubes, you don't think you could do Austin?

it would depend on my finances at the time.  I could drive to ashville or atlanta.  One thing to think about, austin and atlanta are super hot in the summer, so walking around is pretty uncomfortable, ashville is in the mountains and would be nicer weather if it was in the summer

Oh, believe me..I've thought about that. I am somewhat accustomed to it, though. I once walked around Austin alllll day in August!
I voted Austin, but I'm still open. I want to hear more personal accounts!

Wherever it is, I want to go on a picnic! Well, except Austin. I definitely can't go to Austin.

I'm voting for Atlanta (obviously).  I won't be able to go anywhere else really since I have a honeymoon to take next October. :-*

Courth, Cosmo's is supposedly near White Water on Cobb Pkwy.  I mentioned something about it the other day.  They moved there in April.  I haven't tried to go yet, but I'm planning on it.  VEGAN MARSHMALLOWS! 8-)

It is. It's almost directly across from it, and I thought it was supposed to be in the plaza next to it. It's so close to my house. I want to convince people to have a bonfire with me so I can justify buying the marshmallows! And I want to get some Primal Strips for my upcoming Tampa trip. Payback for the beef jerky incident of Panama City Beach.

To me texas is it's own entity. I guess it's included in the bible belt of the south ( though I don't know about Austin), but I though we were aiming for SE, anyway?

I wasn't really aiming for anything.  I just noticed people were talking about a Southern meet up, so I thought of places that have been talked about, and figured it might be the best way to go for this time.  I know there are some other people in TX, who don't come around anymore.

I voted Austin because it would be the most veg*n friendly of the 3. Plus, I've always wanted to go there and need an excuse. I'm already going to Atlanta and Asheville some time in the near future to meet up with other vegwebbers :)

And when were you gonna let a brother know about this?

Katie and I would come for sure!

Well, I hadn't talked to you to work out the logistics of the trip. So as soon as we do that, you'll be well informed as to when I'll be out that way.

I'm all about Austin!  I'm hopefully moving to San Antonio so I'd be up there :)  Depending when it is and my housing situation at at that time, I might be able to put up some people.

Austin is VERY vegan friendly and such a cool city in general (it's totally not like the rest of Texas).  Count me in!
