boston - aug 2008

oh yeah! i'm back in boston for a week (the first weekend in august, it includes the 1st)

so we shall plan all kinds of crazy fun vegan things to do.

when does the pizza place have all you can eat? JW we are on that! (isn't it first monday or tues of the month?)

its the big conferance, i'll be downtown and easy to get to.  :)>>>

Hey Bayp,

I just saw this.  Sorry I never check the boards anymore.  I think it is the 2nd and 4th Tuesday night of each month.  Sadly, that means unless you're here til Aug 12th there won't be one while you're here.  But that's OK, we'll get a few people and go and order a few large pies and have our own little all you can eat contest  :)

this sounds like a good plan. i will be bringing (perhaps) my soc homies, but this is if they are brave enough for the vegan pizza. they should be.

the pizza place is easy to get to by train, right? i'll be in downtown with train power gettin' me around. i need to figure out my conferance sched  :o

I'm less than two hours from Boston once the school year starts!  I can come to Boston things!

aww, man--only on Tuesdays? My big conference in Boston runs from a Thursday to a Sunday, later in the month.  :'(

(APA and ASA in the same city--eek! I haven't been to ASA since it was in Philly, when it was located a few blocks away from the Cherry Street Vegetarian restaurants...)

dude, when is APA? i bet it doesn't overlap with ASA but it woudl be cool if it did.

APA is August 14-17. I would kinda like it if ASA was the same time--I could stick my head in (and join the vegan pizza crowd). I let my ASA membership lapse as I established my identity more firmly in psychology--too much money toward memberships/conferences.

Sorry for hijacking the thread a bit. Off to the "favorite restaurants" to get some other Boston recommendations!

rrraaarrrr!! i'm there  July 30/31-Aug 5. LAME!! that would have been so cool.

the Boston people are very fun. i'm sure they would meet you for some foodstuffs if you gave them a shoutout. there are a lot of good eats there.

the pizza place, there is a vegan chinese place next to it. those are all i've done in boston.

yeah we're always up for meeting out of town vegwebbers when they visit our beloved Boston!  we just aren't good about checking these boards so either post way ahead of time or find us on bostonvegan.org :)
Bayp, I don't think there are any trains right by the pizza joint but there are busses you can transfer onto.  It's only a half-mile from my place so I walk there.

If any of you are tea lovers, you should check out Tealuxe while you're in Boston.  In addition to an amazing tea shop, they have a cafe but I can't remember how vegan-friendly it was.  I just remember there was even tea in the salad dressing and it was good.
