Taking suggestions, recipe testers, etc. for a new weight loss book!

Hi lovely vegwebbers! :)
I've been thinking of what my next book will be & it's looking like a weight loss book. I came up w/ lots of recipe ideas today to experiment with & thought I'd mention that I always LOVE and WELCOME feedback & suggestions...
SO, for those of you who watch your weight (or have other health related concerns), are there any recipes or topics you'd like to see covered in a book?
Thanks in advance for any ideas! :)>>>
p.s. I'd love recipe testers & picture-takers too, if it's something you would enjoy doing & not find cumbersome!
I can't think of anything specific that I can suggest - so no help there.
If the recipes are sent out before March then I could maybe test some, as both me and N are wanting to lose a bit of weight and eat healthier in the new year (doesn't everyone though!). I would offer to take photos, but my photos always come out crap, and at this time of year I find it even worse as there's hardly ever enough natural light in my flat.
Thanks! :)
It is SO hard to take good food photos!! I can't do it. Luckily FAB Vegwebbers vegansapien & keda took the photos for Radiant Health Inner Wealth!! So lucky am I.
I'd send out the recipes well before March--mostly within the next month or two I'd think. This book won't be anywhere near as huge as RHIW, it'll only have about 75 recipes or so. Some of them are already ready to test.
omg....VS and keda's photos are super amazing! I'm always so so jealous of them (and hungry just looking at them!)
I don't have any suggestions but I'd like to offer up my testing skillz!
Me too. I'd love to test your recipes.
A couple of things I'd love to see in more cookbooks are recipes or ideas for quick breakfasts and packable lunches. Most cookbooks focus too much on dinner, some exclusively. Ones that do have breakfast recipes usually have ones for things like pancakes or baked items that just aren't reasonable for the average workday morning. Even if there aren't actual recipes, but ideas for different things to put together to make a nice breakfast would be welcome. Make ahead recipes that can be packed for lunch in the morning or even the night before that don't require reheating and that don't turn unappetizing by lunchtime would be great, too.
I do prefer cookbooks with nutritional analyses so that would be a plus. As are pictures of each dish of course.
I'd be happy to test recipes for you and report back on them if you'd like. I've done a bunch of editing work and also recipe testing. I don't have a good digital camera, so can't help out with print quality photos, but can take pictures of a finished dish just to show how it turned out if that helps at all.
Thanks, all! My recipe testers for the 1st edition of RHIW were invaluable, so I'm grateful & glad to have more...
and great suggestions, too!
:)
And one more idea on the healthfulness and weight loss focus....recipes high in fiber would be great. It's pretty easy to get lots of fiber on a vegan diet, but recipes that highlight that might be helpful.
Fiber is really important for weight loss, agreed!! They will for sure be emphasized, just like in my other book.
I would love to be a tester for you if you'd like another, quintess. I don't have a ton of time, but I would love to contribute the cooking I do on the weekends to testing for you.
I would say that your readers would probably appreciate it if you included nutritional analyses with your recipes. Different people emphasize different aspects of their diet when aiming to lose weight (calories, fat content, fiber, etc), and it can be a real pain the butt to try to calculate all that stuff when trying a new recipe.
hot cereals, hot beverages (cocoa ect.), ant things to do with potatoes ;)b i love potatoes
I would love to test recipes for you. I am willing to try most things. However, I will not eat lima beans or water chestnuts - ha! I have a point & shoot digital camera & no photograghy skills, but I can do my best. :)
There shall be NO lima beans or water chestnuts! I don't like veggies from a can & I've never found them fresh.
Also, the desserts will be minimal & light.
FUN! Thanks so much--I'll get my old RHIW testing blog back up soon.
For those of you who want to test recipes:
So, I just got the blog up & running. If you give me your e-mail address, I will add you as an author for the blog which means you can view it & post comments. It will be a private blog as I don't want everyone seeing the recipes obviously!
And if you were a tester for RHIW you should still be on there & can view it anytime. There are only a few recipes on there now, but I'll keep adding more.
Thank you!!
XOXOXOOO

I sent you an email through your website. :)
I can't remember my login. ::) Can you facebook it to me?
Hmmm...not sure either. What was your email address? There are still about 40 people listed on that site & I can't remember what your email address you used was. Worst case, just message or reply your email address you'd like me to use & I'll add it. It's no problem to do it that way.
:)
so if I want to be a tester, do I test any recipe there or will you want me to test specific recipes.
eta: either way is fine and I'll send you my email address now!
To me, I feel grateful because every recipe tester is helping me so much & not getting paid (other than the fame of being mentioned in my book! ;) ) so I don't like to ask too much of them--they are free to test whichever recipes most appeal to them and the only thing I ask is that they give feedback on the blog & keep the blog/recipes private.
:)
i can always be a recipe tester... i would take pictures but VS would make mine look pathetic next to hers :(
i was wondering... you seem to use oil in your other book... how do u feel about cooking spray?
Quintess, I'd love to be involved, the only thing I'm worried about is that I'm not sure if there will be ingredients in your new book that I'm not able to get my hands on here .
I'm pretty well kitted out though, so I'm sure I could at least give some/most a go : )
I'll PM you my email : )
