Red lentil cauliflower curry: I've never had a curry/dal with cauliflower before, and I liked that. But I thought this dish was pretty bland. A curry without garlic just doesn't work for me, and it needs more spices too. I used cayenne instead of the fresh pepper and omitted the cilantro.

Mole Skillet Pie: I can't believe this hasn't been reviewed yet. I love this pie. This pie is the best thing I've made yet from this book. I'm going to leave my boyfriend for this pie. This pie and I are going to spend the rest of our lives together.
Sweet potato tzimmes: Yummy. This tastes like Christmas. I think it needs to be paired with something refreshing though, because it is pretty sweet.
Cheezy sauce: I was very pleasantly surprised by this sauce! I wasn't expecting much but it was cheezy, zesty, creamy, and delicious. I served it one night on top of steamed purple sprouting broccoli, and then the next day over potato and leek cakes. Yum!
Mushroom gravy: Love it! Full of rich flavour. Served it on top of chickpea cutlets, mashed taters, and green beans. Mid-winter heaven.

This is kind of a love-fest, eh?
