Need Help Designing a Gluten Free Black Bean Burger or Cake

Not sure if this should go in the Cookbook Lab or Dine 'N' Dish but anyways... I tried a black bean cake for the first time at a brewery in Seattle and it was love at first bite. However since I've been searching I haven't been able to find a black bean cake or patty that doesn't use some sort of grain and I want to make a patty I can eat anytime and still be compliant with my nutrition guide lines. So I'm hoping I can get some help designing a recipe or a suggested recipe that uses coconut or almond flour in place of the oats, grain crumbs, grains, or polenta(those are what I have seen used). I have never made a black bean cake or burger so I have no idea of what is needed to make it work.
