I am babysitting my roomate's cat at the moment and during the night, he got stuck in the floor between the basement in my room. I was able to get him out, but I think he is injured now, and I'm afraid I might have done it worse when I carried him... I put him on a pillow next to food and water, but he keeps on moaning... My roomate is supposed to arrive today, I have no idea who her vet is and I have no money to bring him to a vet... I am very worried...
can you contact her in anyway?? She needs to know about this, and can then direct you to the proper vet/desired course of action.
I looked around for a hotline but couldn't find one for Canada. How's he doing?
Is she home yet? How is he?
I just read this, and that's exactly what happened with my cat. He was moaning and vomiting foamy blood. He had congestive heart failure and didn't live much longer. My baby was only 5. How old is your friend's cat?
Awww poor Norbert. *hugs kitty*
Oh noooos! I am so sorry sweetie! Cats do hide when they are sick/injured--they are very good at it! It is some kind of defensive mechanism--protects them from predators in the wild looking for weak prey.
Poor kitty--I hope he feels better--has peaceful moments with his mommy :( you're all in my thoughts!!
oh my god that's awful. Poor kitty.
And poor you - it must be horrid looking after someones loved one and then their loved one getting poorly. But there is definitely nothing more that you could have done for him.
The amount of times my cat acts weird - it's just a cat thing, they ARE weird. You couldn't have known how bad he was.
How's he doing today?
I am so sorry you, your friend and Norbert are going through this.
Poor little kitty :(
Awww Mel, I am so sorry :'(
Im so sorry to hear that Melthibs!
My deepest sympathy to you, your roommate and Madame for your loss.
Rest in Peace, Norbert.
