NVR....What soap can I wash a puppy with???

We just got a cute little 7 week old yellow lab and she is adorable! The problem is, she stinks badly. The sellers kept the litter in a chicken coup  and the smell has definitely transferred over to the puppy.

My question is: Is it safe to bathe her in Johnson's Baby Wash?

I also have a little bottle of Bronner's Tea Tree Soap but I don't think that's mild enough for her skin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I must get her cleaned up today, otherwise I'll be changing toddler sheets and bathing a kid daily! They slept together last night and I imagine that will continue ;)

Yes, you can use Johnson's Baby Shampoo (is that what you actually meant....is there a different product called Johnson's Baby Wash)? Use a very small amount and make sure when you rinse the puppy's head that her head is faced down. That goes for all dogs. It is very easy for them to breath in water through their nostrils and gag or choke...

Thanks for the heads up or 'heads down', I should say! My first instinct would have been to tip her head back to rinse just like I do with my daughter but your explanation makes perfect sense.

So, I ended up giving the puppy a bath at 1 am this morning. She had pooped on the floor and made a huge mess jumping around in it  :-\. Yuck! She's only pooped for me outside twice...she usually prefers to leave a big pile of poo just off of the potty pad when I have to lock her up to leave the house. I guess it's her way of telling me it pisses her off when I leave her alone!
