I know someone who needs to find a new home for her bearded dragon because she cannot afford him.  She is willing to give him away for free with all of his stuff.  I would love to take him, but I am concerned about the diet.  I read that they have a vegetable-based diet, but that they need insects every other day.  I have read some other topics where people discuss feeding mice etc. to their pets, but I haven't come across anything about insects.  I would not be comfortable feeding insects to a pet.  Does anyone have a vegan bearded dragon or know if it's possible to keep them healthy with a vegan diet?  Please let me know!  I would love to help this lady out and have a new pet, but I won't take him if a vegan diet would be unhealthy.
