I don't know if this a stupid question or anything but I've been wondering for a little while, is it possible to adopt(kind of) dogs and cats(more than just a couple) if no one else does and they are close to getting rid of them at your local pound because of it, and keeping them and taking care of them but still have them up for adoption like with pictures?
that's a little confusing, but if anyone knows I would greatly appreciate an answer :)
I think you might be thinking of a foster program, they have those at no kill shelters.
I think that is what you were asking...
at most animal shelters they put hundreds of animals down every year, but at a no kill shelter, the animals never die because of humans, they just live there, in cages, for a long time, to free up space and to get animals ready for adoption they have foster programs where good homes can take in an animal and kind of train them and get them ready to be adopted, it frees up space at the shelter and makes them easier to adopt. There are lots of no kill shelters around, I've found that most animal shelters have a no kill shelter close by to take in animals.
