2 Black Labs Need A Home
I just got this emailed to me this morning. The owner of 2 black labs has cancer and is looking for a new home for his "children"..... This kind of takes a personal tone for me, as I have a family member with cancer as well.
Please read, or forward this message to someone you think might be able to adopt these "children"
Look at these PRECIOUS faces. These boys deserve to stay together. There is contact info listed below.PLEASE forward this email….The owner has terminal cancer and is trying to find a home for both dogs (preferably together) while he is still around.

where are they located?
I guess down here near Atlanta somewhere. I'm sure the owner would let them live out their lives in a great home anywhere. I don't think he will turn down a great home in another state. I'd be willing to help out by personally driving them anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. That's my offer of charity to this sad situation. I'll pay their way to a new home out of my own pocket (it's the best I personally have to offer at this time). I am not leaving to goto Europe until Feb. 12th. If anyone can help find a home that would be great! Or adopt them and Gruden "Captain" Beefpaws together, and I'll take all THREE! ;)
Has he contacted a lab rescue? They may be willing to help. It sucks b/c labs are soooo common in shelters. So sad :(

I sent an email to the contact telling her that I would help find them a home, and help transport the dogs anywhere in the US or Canada if needed. Thanks to all of you for caring!
I've always wanted a chocolate lab named Hersey. Unfortunately, I think the cat would kill me (or worse get up and leave) if I brought home a dog, especially after bringing home two babies.
Definately gets me to thinking though...

Not yet. I'll contact the woman today and ask her. I'm sure they will get a great home. If I have to, I'll take them ::).

I finally got a chance to look at the pics of your gang.. they are all gorgeous!! LOL you even have a HERSHEY dog :D!!
One day we will "get" a dog.. but my family just isn't ready to make a 15+ year committment yet.

No, I have not heard back since I first contacted her (just that 1 time). I know the email is making it's rounds. Seven more people from the Atlanta area emailed me the same original email in the last few days. She may just be sorting out hundreds of emails....If that many people know about it, these 2 dogs will get a home. I'll let you know if I hear back from her again...

Yes....from what I heard (via email) is that they were adopted by a wonderful family in Atlanta, and of course got to stay together! :)
The e-mail for these dogs showed up in my in-box this morning; you get around, davedrum ;)
